Banana Bars With Toasted Pecan Frosting
Ingredients
1. All purpose flour (2c)
2. vanilla (1tsp)
3. ripe bananas, mashed (2large)
4. eggs (2)
5. sour cream (1/2c)
6. packed brown sugar (1/2c)
7. butter, softened (3/4c)
8. sugar (1c)
9. salt (1/4tsp)
10. baking soda (1/2tsp)
11. baking powder (1tsp)
Frosting Ingredients:-
1. Cream cheese, softened (1package about 3 ounce)
2. butter (1/4c)
3. vanilla (1tsp)
4. powdered sugar (2c)
5. chopped pecans, toasted (1/2c)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 375 degrees F. Take a large bowl, mix eggs, sour cream, brown sugar, ¾ cup of butter and sugar in it. Beat this mixture at medium speed until it becomes creamy.
2. Then mix vanilla and bananas in it. Keep on beating the mixture until it gets mixed properly. Now add all the rest of the cookie ingredients in it and beat it until the ingredients get mixed well.
3. Take a jelly roll pan of 15*10*1-inch, grease it and then spread the batter in it. Place the pan in oven and bake it for about 20 to 25 minutes at 375 degrees F. Bake it until the wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Take it out from oven and cool it completely.
4. To Make frosting, take a saucepan of 1 quarter, place it over medium heat. Melt butter in it by stirring until it begins to turn golden in color. Take off the pan from heat and cool it completely.
5. Take a small bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, brown butter and vanilla in it. Beat this mixture at low speed for 2 to 3 minutes until it becomes smooth. Now frost the cooled bars and then dust the pecans over it.
