Flan De Fresas – Strawberry Flan Recipe

Ingredients
1. Fresh and ripe strawberries (1pint)
2. granulated sugar (1/2c)
3. eggs (6)
4. condensed milk (1can about 14 oz)
5. caramelized Sugar Topping

Method Of Preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Keep aside 4 to 5 diced fresh strawberries for garnish. Take a heavy saucepan, place it over medium heat for about 30 seconds and then add ½ cup of granulated sugar in the pan.

2. Melt the sugar by stirring regularly with the back of the wooden spoon until it gets caramelized. Now pour sugar into the ramekins and then keep them aside. Take strawberries, wash them and remove their stem.

3. Take a blender or a food processor, place strawberries, condensed milk, eggs and sugar in it and blend the ingredients until they get mixed thoroughly. Pour this mixture into the ramekins and then cover each ramekin with foil.

4. Now place ramekins in large open, oven proof pan such as a broiler pan. Put very hot water in the pan and submerge the ramekins ¾ in the water.

5. Place the pan on the center shelf of the oven and bake it at 350 degrees F for about 30 minutes. Then take out each ramekin from water and remove the cover and then keep it to cool.

6. When the ramekins get cooled then place them in the refrigerator to chill. Now take out the flans from the ramekins and place them on serving plate. Garnish with fresh strawberries and serve them.
