Pineapple Wontons Recipe

Ingredients
1. Cornstarch (1 1/2c)
2. light or dark corn syrup (2tbsp)
3. corn oil (1qt.)
4. wonton wrappers (48)
5. light and dark corn syrup (1/3c)
6. crushed pineapples in own juice (1can)
7. margarine (1tbsp)

Method of preparation:-

1. Take pineapple, drain them properly and reserve the ½ cup of its juice aside. Take a saucepan of 2 quarter, place it over low heat. Add corn syrup and pineapple in it. Keep this mixture to boil for about 5 minutes.

2. Then take off the pan from heat and keep it to cool. Take wonton wrapper, place 1 teaspoon of pineapple mixture in the center of wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrappers with water.

3. Fold 1 end of wrapper over the filling and tuck it under the filling. Then fold the opposite corners over the tucked end and then seal it. Completely enclose the filling by twisting the other corners.

4. Take a heavy saucepan of 3 quart; pour corn oil into the pan for deep frying. Heat the oil over medium heat. Fry 1 few wontons at a time in hot oil for about 1 to 2 minutes until get golden brown. Then drain them on paper towel and keep them warm.

5. Now take a saucepan of 1 quart, mix corn starch, 2 tablespoon of corn syrup and pineapple juice in it by stirring until it becomes smooth. Then keep it to boil for about 1 minute over medium heat and margarine in it and then apply it on wontons. Now the pineapple wontons are ready to serve.
