Three Berry Pie Recipe
Ingredients
1. Raspberries (2c)
2. fresh strawberries, halved (1c)
3. fresh blueberries (1 1/2c)
4. cornstarch (3tbsp)
5. white sugar (1/2c)
6. pastry for a 9-inch double crust pie (1 recipe)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a large mixing bowl, add cornstarch and sugar in it. Mix it well and then add blueberries, raspberries and strawberries in it. Mix all the berries properly until they get well coated.
2. If you are using the frozen fruit then keep the fruit mixture for about 15 to 30 minutes until the fruit gets partially thawed. Take a pie plate of 9-inch, line it with half of the pastry. Mix the berry fruit mixture and place it in crust lined pie plate. Place the second crust over it and seal the edges.
3. Cover the edges of the pie with foil to prevent them from over browning. Place the pie in oven and bake it at 375 degrees F for about 25 minutes for fresh fruit and 50 minutes for frozen fruits. Then remove the foil from the pie.
4. Again bake the pie for about 20 to 30 minutes until the top changes to golden in color. Then take it out from oven and place on wire rack to cool.
