French Lace Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
1. All purpose flour (1c)
2. packed brown sugar (2/3c)
3. shortening (1/2c)
4. light corn syrup (1/2c)
5. chopped pecans (1c)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C. Take a cookie sheet, cover it with parchment paper.
2. Take a saucepan of medium size, place it over medium heat. Add shortening, corn syrup and brown sugar in it. Heat this mixture by stirring regularly until it starts to boil.
3. Take a small bowl, mix flour and nuts in it and then mix it into the mixture of saucepan. Take off the pan from heat. Keep the mixture warm by placing it over the pan of hot water.
4. Then drop the teaspoonfuls of mixture on the cookie sheets at the distance of 3-inch apart. Place the sheets in oven and bake the cookies at 350 degrees F for about 5 minutes. Keep them to set and then remove them from the sheets.

Chocolate Banana Crepes Recipe
Ingredients
For Crepe Batter:-
1. White flour (1/3c)
2. confectioner sugar (2tbsp)
3. cocoa (1tbsp)
4. hazelnut liqueur (2tsp)
5. vanilla (1tsp)
6. egg yolk (1)
7. melted butter (1 1/2tbsp)
8. whole or 2% milk (1/2c)
For Chocolate Sauce:-
1. Cocoa (1tbsp)
2. hazelnut liqueur (2tsp)
3. whole or 2% milk (1tbsp)
4. butter (1/2tbsp)
5. confectioner sugar (2tbsp)
6. ripe banana slices (2)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a bowl of medium size, add 2 tablespoons of hazelnuts liqueur, vanilla, egg yolk, 1 ½ tablespoons of melted butter, ½ cup of milk in it and mix all these ingredients properly.
2. Beat 1 tablespoon of cocoa in it and then mix 2 tablespoons of confectioner sugar in it until it gets completely mixed. Then slowly mix flour in it until it gets mixed well. Then keep it aside.
3. Take a saucepan, place it over low heat, melt ½ tablespoon of butter in it. Then mix 2 teaspoon of hazelnut liqueur and 1 tablespoon of milk into the melted butter. Add 2 teaspoon of confectioner sugar and 1 tablespoon of cocoa in it and cook it over very low heat until it gets warm.
4. Take a non stick frying pan, spray it with cooking spray and place it over medium heat. Pour ¼ cup of batter into the pan and whirl it to form thin disk and then cook it for about 2 minutes. Then turn it and cook it for 1 minute more.
5. Take a plate, place crepe on it and add ¼ sliced banana over it and then spread ¼ of the chocolate sauce over the bananas. Roll the crepe and then dust the confectioner sugar over it.
6. Make more crepe with the rest of the batter and sliced bananas and chocolate sauce. When the chocolate banana crepes get ready then serve them warm.

French Coconut Pie Recipe
Ingredients
1. All purpose flour (2tbsp)
2. white sugar (2 1/4c)
3. pastry shells (2 prepared about 8-inch)
4. chopped pecans (1c)
5. flaked coconut (1c)
6. margarine, melted (1/2c)
7. eggs (6)
8. buttermilk (1c)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C. Take a small bowl, mix flour and sugar in it. Take a large bowl, beat eggs in it and then beat the flour mixture into the eggs until the mixture becomes smooth.
2. Mix pecans, coconut, margarine and buttermilk in it and then pour this mixture into the unbaked pie crust. Place the pie crust in oven and bake it at 350 degrees F for about 45 minutes. Then take out the pie from oven and keep it to cool and then serve it.

French Crullers Recipe
Ingredients
1. All purpose flour (1c)
2. hot water (1c)
3. shortening (4tbsp)
4. orange zest (1tsp)
5. salt (1tsp)
6. white sugar (4tbsp)
7. vanilla extract (1tsp)
8. salt (1/8tsp)
9. cream (3tbsp)
10. confectioner sugar (1 1/2c)
11. shortening (1 1/2tbsp)
12. eggs (3)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a saucepan; put orange rind, shortening, salt and 4 tablespoons of white sugar and 1 cup of hot water in it. Keep this mixture to boil and then mix 1 cup of flour in it. Cook it by stirring until the mixture becomes thick.
2. Take off the pan from heat and keep it to cool slightly. Add one egg in it and beat it well before adding another egg. Take a well greased square of heavy paper, press the dough on it in desired shape.
3. Take a frying pan of hot fat and then drop the crullers into the hot fat by turn the paper upside down. Fry them for about 6 to 7 minutes until they get puffed up and changes to golden brown in color. Then drain them on unglazed paper and sprinkle confectioner frosting over them.
4. To make frosting; take a bowl and beat 1 ½ tablespoon of shortening by adding sugar in it. Then add cream, vanilla and salt in it and mix it until it becomes smooth.

Authentic French Maringues Recipe
Ingredients
1. Eggs (4)
2. confectioner sugar (2 1/4c)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 200 degrees F or 95 degrees C. Take a baking sheet, butter it and then flour it.
2. Take a metal or glass bowl, beat egg whites in it with an electric mixer until it gets foamy. Dust sugar in it and beat it continuously at medium speed. When the mixture becomes shiny and stiff then stop beat it and put it in a large pastry bag.
3. Use round tip or star tip to pipe out the meringues from the pastry bag on to the baking sheet. Place it in oven and then place a wooden spoon in the door of the oven to keep it from closing all the way.
4. Bake the meringue for 3 hours until they get dry and we can take out them easily from the sheet. Then keep the cookies to cool completely and then store them in airtight container at room temperature.
Makes about 36 cookies
French Fruit Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1. All purpose flour (2tbsp)
2. golden raisins (1/2c)
3. raisins (1/2c)
4. coarsely chopped walnuts (1/2c)
5. candied orange peel (3/4c)
6. dark rum (2tbsp)
7. light cream (1 1/2tbsp)
8. eggs (2)
9. honey (2 1/2tbsp)
10. white sugar (1/2c)
11. butter, softened (1/2c)
12. baking powder (1/2tsp)
13. all purpose flour (1 1/2c)
14. vanilla extract (1tsp)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of flour, raisins, walnuts and orange peel in it and keep it aside.
2. Take a large bowl, beat honey, sugar and butter in it until the mixture becomes creamy. Beat eggs in it and then add milk or cream, vanilla and rum in it and beat the mixture again.
3. Take another bowl, mix rest of the 1 ½ cup of flour and baking powder in it. Add this flour mixture into the creamed mixture and beat it well. Then mix nuts and fruits in it.
4. Take a loaf pan of 9*5-inch, greased and floured it and pour the batter into the pan. Place the pan in oven and bake it for about 10 minutes at 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.
5. Then turn down the heat to 325 degrees F and bake it for about 45 minutes until the wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean. Place the cake on rack to cool. Now the French fruit cake is ready to serve.

French Butter Cakes (Madeleines) Recipe
Ingredients
1. All purpose flour (1/2c)
2. white sugar (1/3c)
3. salt (1/8tsp)
4. vanilla extract (3/4tsp)
5. eggs (2)
6. granulated sugar (1/3c for decoration)
7. butter (1/4c)
8. lemon jest (1tbsp)
Method of preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 375 degrees F or 190 degrees C. Take 12 madeleine molds of 3-inch, butter and flour them and keep them aside. Take a pan, melt butter in it and keep it aside.
2. Take a small mixing bowl, beat eggs, salt and vanilla in it at high speed until the mixture becomes light. Slowly add sugar in it and beat it at high speed for 5 to 10 minutes until the mixture becomes thick and pale.
3. Sieve 1/3 of flour into the egg mixture and beat it after each addition. Add melted butter and lemon zest around the edge of the batter. Fastly but slowly add butter into the batter.
4. Then pour the batter into the molds with spoon and mound it slightly above the tops. Place the molds in oven and bake them for about 15 to 18 minutes until the color of cakes changes to golden.
5. Loosen the cakes from the pan with the tip of knife and then invert them on the rack. Dust the granulated sugar over the warm cookies. Now madeleines are ready to serve.
