Cod Fish Balls Recipe

Ingredients
1. Codfish (1 pound)
2. fresh bread crumbs (2c)
3. eggs (2)
4. softened butter (1tbsp)
5. fresh pumpkin (1 pound)
6. oil
7. salt and black pepper (to taste)

Method Of Preparation:-

1. Take cod fish; soak it in water for overnight. Next day throw out the water, place it in saucepan and then cover it with cold water. Keep it to boil until it becomes soft. Remove skin, bone and then flake it properly.

2. Now cook pumpkin until it becomes soft. Mash it well and then beat softened butter, salt, pepper and two lightly beaten eggs in it. Then mix bread crumbs in it to make the mixture firm.

3. Make small balls of this mixture and then coat each ball with bread crumbs. Take a heavy frying pan, place it over heat. Heat oil in it and then put the fish balls in hot oil to fry.

4. Fry them for about 3 to 4 minutes until they get golden brown color. Now drain the fish balls on paper towels and serve warm with tomato sauce.

Cod With Eggs And Golden Fried Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
1. Salt codfish (1 pound)
2. eggs (6)
3. finely chopped onions (3/4c)
4. potatoes, peeled and cut into lengthwise strips (3 med. Size)
5. shortening or vegetable oil (for frying)
6. olive oil (1/2c)
7. finely chopped parsley (2tbsp)
8. freshly ground black pepper (1/2tsp)

Method Of Preparation:-

1. Take cod fish; place it in a glass bowl or a pan of stainless steel. Then add cold water in it to cover the fish and keep it aside for 12 hours to soak. Meanwhile, change the water 3 to 4 times.

2. Heat the oven to 200 degrees. Take a frying pan, heat vegetable oil in it to 375 degrees. Put potatoes strips in hot oil and deep fry them for about 2 to 4 minutes until they become crispy and get light brown color.

3. Take a shallow baking pan of large size, line it with paper towels. Now place the fried potatoes in baking pan and place them in oven to keep them warm.

4. Now drain cod, wash it under tap water, place it in pan and then cover it with fresh water. Place the pan over high heat and keep it to boil.

5. Then turn down the heat to low and keep it to simmer uncovered for about 20 minutes until it gets flake easily with fork. Drain the fish and then remove the skin and bones from it with a knife. Place the fish in pan, cover it and keep it aside.

6. Take a heavy frying pan, place it over medium heat and then heat ½ cup of olive oil in it. Then add onions in it and cook them for about 5 to 10 minutes by stirring regularly. Add cod in it and cook it by stirring.

7. Take a bowl, beat eggs in it and then mix black pepper in it. Pour the egg mixture into the frying pan and cook it by stirring with spatula over low heat until the creamy curds formed.

8. Then immediately add potatoes in it and transfer the fish to a warm platter. Sprinkle the chopped parsley over the fish and then serve it hot.

Boston Cod Pie Recipe

Ingredients
1. Frozen cod fish fillets (1lb)
2. pie crusts (2)
3. pimiento, chopped (1tbsp)
4. vermouth (1tbsp)
5. walnuts, chopped (1/4c)
6. dry mustard (1/4tsp)
7. milk or half and half (2c)
8. flour (4tbsp)
9. butter (4tbsp)
10. minced onions (2tbsp)
11. minced celery (2tbsp)
12. bay leaf (1)
13. salt (1/4tsp)
14. water (1c)

Method Of Preparation:-
1. Take a large saucepan of 10 inch; add bay leaf, salt and 1 cup of water in it. Keep it to boil and then turn down the heat to low. Keep it to simmer for about 6 to 8 minutes.

2. Now take out the fish from liquid and drain it on paper towels and then flake it with fork. Take a pan, heat butter in it and then saute onion and celery in it.

3. Then mix flour in it and cook it for about 30 seconds over low heat. Now add dry mustard and half and half in it. Cook it over low heat by stirring regularly until the mixture gets thicken.

4. Take off the pan from heat, mix pimiento, vermouth, nuts and flaked fish in it. Take a pie plate of 8 inch, line it with pastry. Place fish mixture on it and cover it with top crust.

5. Place the pie plate in preheated oven and bake it at 400 degrees F for about 25 to 30 minutes. Then take out the plate from oven and keep it for about 10 minutes and then cut the cod pie and serve it.

Roasted Rosemary Snd Basil Cod Fish Recipe

Ingredients
Cod fish fillets (2), rosemary, minced (1stem), minced garlic (4cloves), finely chopped celery (4 small stalks), white onion, minced (1med.), min leek (white part only), minced (1), soy sauce (2tbsp), fresh chives, minced (1tbsp), ginger root, minced (2tsp), lemon juice (1 1/2tbsp), fresh basil leaves, minced (4), salt and pepper (to taste).

Method Of Preparation:-
First heat the oven to 350 degrees F. Take a bowl, add rosemary, lemon juice, chives, soy sauce, basil, pepper and salt in it. Mix all the Ingredients and then put fish fillets in this mixture. Keep it aside for about ½ an hour to marinate the fish. Take an oven proof pan with cover. Saute garlic, onion, celery, ginger root and leek in it until the onions become soft. Then add cod fillets in it and cook them until they get light brown color. Then take out the pan from oven and cover it. Bake it for about 25 to 30 minutes. Serve the fish with cooked rice. Keep the remaining marinade to boil in the pan and then pour it over the cod fish and rice.

Easy Cod And Broccoli Skillet Recipe

Ingredients
1. Fresh frozen cod fillets (1pkg.about 12 oz)
2. frozen chopped broccoli (1pkg. about 10 oz)
3. cooked chow mien noodles (1/2 c)
4. dash of pepper
5. salt (1/2tsp)
6. chopped pimientos (2tbsp)
7. lemon juice (1tsp)
8. vermouth or other white wine (2tbsp)
9. condensed cream of mushroom soup (1can about 10 ¾ oz)

Method Of Preparation:-

1. Take frozen broccoli, wash it under tap water to separate it and drain it. Take a skillet of 10 inch, mix lemon juice, wine and mushroom soup in it.

2. Place skillet over heat and keep it to boil by stirring regularly. Then add pimientos, frozen fillets, broccoli, pepper and salt in it. Cover the skillet and keep it to simmer for about 15 minutes until the fish gets flake easily with fork.

3. When the fish gets cooked then takes off the skillet from heat and places the fish over the noodles in the serving dish and then serve it.

French Creole Cod Recipe

Ingredients
1. Cod fish (1lb)
2. Dijon mustard (2tsp)
3. chopped fresh parsley (optional)
4. freshly squeezed lemon juice (1tbsp)
5. Creole seasoning (1/2tsp)
6. olive oil (2tsp + extra for brushing)
7. salt (to taste)

Method Of Preparation:-
1. First heat the oven to 400 degrees F. Take a baking sheet, line it with foil and then lightly grease it with olive oil.

2. Take a small bowl, add Creole seasoning, salt, mustard and olive oil in it. Mix all the spices well and then brush this spice mixture over the fish. Now place the fish on greased baking sheet.

3. Place the sheet in preheated oven and bake it at 400 degrees F for about 15 to 20 minutes until the fish gets flake easily with fork.

4. When the fish gets cooked then takes out the baking sheet from oven and places the fish in serving dish. Now sprinkle parsley and lemon juice over the fish and serve it hot.

Quick and Easy Italian-Style Cod Fillets Recipe

Ingredients
1. Fresh cod fish fillets (1 1/2lbs)
2. grated Italian cheese like romano, grana padano, parmesan (for sprinkling)
3. minced garlic (2tbsp)
4. diced canned tomatoes with balsamic vinegar, olive oil and basil (2 cans)
5. salt and pepper (to taste)

Method Of Preparation:-
1. Take a bowl, mix garlic and canned tomatoes in it. Take a frying pan; spread half of this mixture on the bottom of the pan. Then place the cod fillets over the tomatoes.

2. Now pour the rest of the tomatoes, garlic mixture over the cod fillets and then sprinkle pepper, salt and Italian cheese on it. Now keep it to boil and then turn down the heat to low and keep it to simmer until the cod fillets get flake easily with fork.

3. Now Italian style fish is ready. Take off the pan from heat and place fish in a serving dish and then serve it with pasta or rice.
