Codfish Soup Recipe
Ingredients
1. Salt codfish, soaked (1/2 pound)
2. sliced onion (1small)
3. celery (1 small piece)
4. thyme (small sprig)
5. dry white wine (2tbsp)
6. water (1c)
7. olive oil (4 1/2tbsp)
8. parsley stems (small bunch)
9. bay leaf (1)
10. tomatoes, skinned with seeds removed and cut into slices (2)
11. potato, peeled and cut into slices (1 med.)
12. salt and pepper (to taste)
Method Of Preparation:-
1. First take codfish, cut it into squares of big size. Take a saucepan, place it over low heat. Put 4 tablespoons of olive oil and then add sliced onions in the pan and cook them for a few seconds.
2. Then add thyme, bay leaf, celery and parsley stems in it. Cook them for few seconds and then add potato, tomatoes, water and white wine in the pan and cook them.
3. When the potato gets half cooked and then add codfish and ½ tablespoon of olive oil in it. Now take out the parsley stems from it and then add ½ tablespoon of chopped parsley. Then add pepper and salt, if required in it.
4. When the fish and vegetables get cooked properly then pour the soup in soup bowls and put fried bread over it and then serve it hot.
Chicken-Vegetable Soup With Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients
1. Original Bisquick mix (1c)
2. cut up cooked chicken (2c)
3. Fresh steamer frozen mixed vegetables, thawed and drained (1 bag about 12 oz)
4. finely chopped garlic (2cloves)
5. chopped fresh thyme leaves (1tbsp)
6. chopped fresh parsley (1tbsp)
7. Progresso chicken broth (1carton about 4c)
8. milk (1/3c).
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a saucepan of 3 quarter. Put all the ingredients in the pan except Bisquick and milk. Keep them to boil by stirring them irregularly.
2. Take a small bowl, mix bisquick and milk in it to form soft dough. Then drop it by 18 teaspoonfuls into the boiling soup. Keep the dumplings on the top of the broth with the help of slotted spoon.
3. Now turn down the heat to medium-low. Keep it to cook uncovered for about 10 minutes. Then cover the pan and keep it to cook for 15 minutes more.

Chicken Soup With Potato Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients
1. Bisquick (1 1/2c)
2. crushed garlic (1clove)
3. milk (1/4c)
4. chopped green (1tbsp)
5. pepper (1/8tsp)
6. mashed potatoes, cold (1c)
7. sage, dried, crushed leaves (1/4tsp)
8. sliced celery (1c)
9. chicken broth (6c)
10. sliced carrots (1c)
11. cooked chicken, cut up (2c)
12. vegetable oil (1tbsp)
13. chopped onion (1/4c)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take a Dutch oven of 4 quarter. To make soup in it first heat oil in it and cook garlic and onion in it until onions get changes to brown in color. Then add chicken, sage, broth, carrots, celery in it and cook it until it gets boil.
2. Take a bowl; prepare the dumpling in it by mixing bisquick, milk, mashed potatoes, pepper and green onion to form soft dough.
3. Knead the dough for about 2 minutes until the dough becomes soft. Make about 18 small balls of this dough and then drop the dumplings into the boiling soup.
4. Cook it uncovered for about 10 minutes over low heat. Now cover it and again cook for 10 minutes. Now chicken soup with potato dumpling is ready to serve.

Vegetable Beef Soup With Egg Dumplings Recipe
Ingredients
1. Ground beef (1lb)
2. condensed chicken broth (3cans about 10 ¾ oz)
3. shredded cabbage (2c)
4. frozen peas and carrots (1pkg about 10 oz)
5. water (4c)
6. chopped onion (1/2c)
7. pepper (1/2tsp)
8. egg dumplings
For Egg Dumplings:-
1. Bisquick (1/2c)
2. egg (1)
3. ground nutmeg (1/8tsp)
4. snipped parsley or 2 teaspoon of parsley flakes (1tbsp)
5. grated parmesan cheese (3tbsp)
Method of preparation:-
1. Take Dutch oven, cook ground beef in it until it changes to brown in color and stir it continuously. Then drain it.
2. Add all the remaining ingredients in beef except egg dumplings. Keep the mixture to boil and then reduce the heat to low.
3. Now take a bowl, prepare dumplings in it by mixing bisquick, parsley, cheese and nutmeg in it and then mix the egg in it and mix it well until the mixture gets blended. Then drop the dumplings into the soup with teaspoonfuls. Keep it to simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes until the dumplings get firm.
